Home: Beyond Geography is a participatory writing project that explores concepts of identity, home and geography of our port city: Miami. During the month of April 2014, interdisciplinary artists Juana Meneses and Leila Leder Kremer will visit—armed with pens, cards and maps —different Miami neighborhoods and collect Miami residents personal histories in an attempt to maps Miami’s identity. The writing collected will be copied and distributed to residents during subsequent visits to other neighborhoods. HBG will activate public space and foster dialogue between Miami resident and neighborhoods.
